“We are not given a good life or a bad life. We are given a life. It’s up to us to make it good or bad.”

I don’t know who first made that profound statement. If I did, I would most certainly give credit, because the originator deserves it. In 26 words, it sums up my philosophy of living.

Embedded in this statement is a nudge–a warning, if you will. The world is getting darker, more dangerous, more unpredictable. But this fact needn’t frighten us. We can takes steps to prepare for the worst of times. There are many ways and many resources to assist us in doing that so that we are not caught unaware.

Now is the time to choose to make life the best it can be. No need to cower in a corner and wait for disaster. Act now, while the sun shines. And then go on living with peace of mind, knowing that you have done all you can to prepare for an uncertain future.
